Rooftops may reign supreme during summer in New York City but Bookmarks, the rooftop lounge at the Liberty Hotel, offers an enclosed space during the winter months so you can enjoy breathtaking vistas without freezing your tootsies off. Adding an extra layer of warmth this fall and winter season is the lounge's array of warm cocktails. While Bookmarks' Pumpkin Spice Latte spiked with spiced rum and Baileys is certainly something to write home about, the Hot & Smokey Cider is just what the doctor ordered on a chilly day in the Big Apple. Built directly into a hot hot toddy mug, Mezcal is stirred together with Van Gogh dutch caramel vodka and hot cider, then topped off with an apple slice and freshly grated nutmeg. The lounge also features a working fireplace in its enclosed outdoor space, making this the perfect place to cozy up with a warm cocktail.

Hot chocolate is arguably the most quintessential winter season drink, and what better way to kick it up a notch than with spiked hot cocoa. Belgian Beer Café serves up delicious Belgian and Belgian-inspired dishes including Moules-Frites and Witloof Salad. But if it's a sweet tooth you're looking to indulge, try a combination after dinner drink and dessert with the Timmermans Hot Cocoa. This NoMad eatery heats up Timmermans Strawberry with chili powder, cinnamon sticks, allspice balls and cloves before slowly stirring in silky smooth milk chocolate. This sinfully sweet cocktail is then topped off with a dollop of Delirium Whipped Cream (heavy whipping cream, Delirium, sugar, chili powder and allspice).
