Overlooking the Great Kills Harbor, this restaurant offers amazing views. During the summer months make a visit to their Dock Side Patio Bar, which offers more casual fare than the main café. The café is noted for its seafood and a raw bar but also offers great burgers, sandwiches and a kid’s menu. Try the crab cakes ($14) or the linguine with clams ($17).

Nestled in Madison Square Park near 23rd Street and Madison Ave., is Danny Meyer’s burger oasis. Arguably the best burger in town, Shake Shack offers up some good grub that will leave everyone satisfied. Sit under the trees, surrounded by various art installations, and enjoy every morsel. And don’t forget to stop by the playground on your way out to burn off the sugar from the shakes. The single hamburgers ($3.50) are the perfect size for kids, for vegetarians try the shroom burger ($6.50) and don’t forget a famous hand-spun shake ($5).
