While the summer is filled with numerous music festivals, the fall offers some of the most exciting musical events this year. From Randall’s Island to Flushing Meadow Corona Park and Forest Hills, here are some of best music events to get your groove on this fall.

Taking over Flushing Meadows Corona Park on October 1 and 2, The Meadows is the fall’s most anticipated new music festival that will bring the very best of hip hop, indie rock and more to Queens. There will be four stages throughout the park and at Citi Field, with food vendors, specialty cocktails and art installations. Some of the performers that will grace the stages of the inaugural festival will be Kayne West, The Weekend, and Kygo.

One of the largest dance festivals in the country is heading back to New York on Labor Day Weekend. The Electric Zoo Wild Island Festival will take over Randall’s Island Park, featuring the beats of some of the world’s leading DJs. People can dance the weekend away with the sounds of Bassnectar, Tiesto, Hardwell and The Chainsmokers.

A music festival for Disco lovers and Baby Boomers comes to Forest Hills Stadium in Queens with the Freak Out Let’s Dance Music Experience. Bringing some of the biggest names in music history, including Bette Midler, Earth, Wind and Fire and The Village People, spectators can dance and reminiscence on October 8. Just a short train ride to Forest Hills, this concert is the ideal place to celebrate classic hits.

While it might not seem like the typical music festival, the International Musical Olympus Festival brings young international musicians to Carnegie Hall’s stage. The 10th annual concert takes place in October, and was originally held in St. Petersburg, Russia. Coming from diverse countries, the young musicians play different instruments and have been named top-prize winners of international music competitions in the past three years.
