Great place for the hipster and artist crowd, The Creek and the Cave has both an open mic and indie movie night. You can also choose to relax downstairs on one of the comfy couches or settle outside on the outdoor patio. Additionally, the calendar has a wide variety of DJs and live music. On Mondays, come in for half price on traditional margaritas from 3 p.m. onward or grab a burger and beer for only $10 on Wednesdays. Either way, the menu looks fantastic with a wide variety of food choices from Tacos al Carbon to the Creek Salad.

Come "seize the day" at this literature-themed bar. The owner is a former English teacher and has famous literary quotes on the walls from writing greats such as Dickinson and Joyce. The Dead Poet even has a lending library on site. It is a bit on the small side at only 10 feet wide, however the bar makes up for it with great weekly specials such as $3 shots on Fridays. It also has an extensive Irish whiskey menu. See if you can make it into the 100 pint club. The 100 pint club keeps track of how many pints of Guinness you can consume. Once you reach 100 pints, you get your name engraved on the wall of fame.

If you needed any other indication that The Way Station is geared more toward the anti-sports set, look no farther than that fact that it has a Dr. Who Tardis bathroom door. It has a cozy feel and great signature drinks such as the 10th Doctor and Captain Jack. Furthermore, The Way Station hosts local artists to play at the bar such as Bucky Hayes and Painless Parker.

The Zombie Hut is a great place to hang out for you and your non-sporty friends. It has tons of board games and comfortable seating which goes all the way into the back. Also, do try the mixed drinks such as the Gilligan (vodka, three rums and OJ), a local favorite. The bar may be small, but it has a great tiki look as the walls are covered with bamboo and Polynesian masks.

You'll be taking a step back in time by walking into this western-themed bar. The walls are filled with Wild West paraphernalia including saddles and wagon wheels. Still, 1849 is not completely set in the past as it also features an internet jukebox and amazing hot wings. The hot wings aren't the only delicious food at 1849. It also has Tex Mex American food and burgers ground to order.
