With a nice beer selection, and a kitchen open until 2 a.m., the Brooklyn Public House on DeKalb Ave. is a top spot in our opinion. Order an American craft beer, and a shot of something brown, and you'll be all set. You'll also enjoy the sweet tunes and friendly staff at this neighborhood staple.

From 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at Mullane's you can enjoy a beer and a shot for $6. This is a great deal, especially when combined with nachos and/or chili. If you're catching a show at BAM, or just walking around the area, make sure you pop in here. You're guaranteed to have a good time.

Frank's Cocktail Lounge has the occasional musical performance. They always have beers and spirits available, and when you're there, you should indulge. The drink prices can be a tad on the pricier side at this funky Ft. Green lounge, considering the other joints nearby. But the truth is, when you're with you pals, you can overlook this.

Bamboo Lounge & Grill on Myrtle Ave. has DJ's, ladies nights, and drink specials during their happy hour from 4:00 -8: 00 p.m. You can get a bite, a domestic bottle, and a shot of your favorite spirit while you dance away to reggae, R&B, and hip-hop jams.

Der Schwarze Beer Garden has German movie nights and various promotional events that anyone can come and enjoy. Their servers are dressed in traditional German garb. Order a couple of pretzels and a couple of pints, and you'll feel as if you were celebrating Oktoberfest all year round.
