Jump start New York Fashion Week Wednesday, September 4, as Sony Music SVP & Creative Director Christopher Austopchuk launches the second issue of his Spirit & Flesh magazine with music and fashion industry insiders aboard New York City’s luxe floating event space, Hornblower Infinity. The event will benefit RAINN, the nation’s largest anti-sexual assault organization, ranked as one of “America’s 100 Best Charities” by Worth magazine and feature a performance by Columbia Recording Artist and American synthpop duo CHAIRLIFT.
Allure is offering women the ultimate insider experience at the Allure Lounge colored by Maybelline New York, the official cosmetic sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Open daily to the public on September 5 – 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Allure Lounge at the Empire Hotel will give guests the perfect place to take a break and get runway beauty looks in between shows. The Allure Lounge colored by Maybelline New York will feature complimentary express makeovers and manicures by Maybelline New York, hairstyling by DreamDry, backstage footage of runway shows and an Instagram Sweepstakes.
Hotel Belleclaire is gearing up to be the hot hotel destination during this year’s New York Fashion Week. Walking distance from Lincoln Center, the Upper West Side historic hotel will house pop-ups of top lifestyle brands in its energetic lobby to enhance the hotel experience for guests and passers-by. Partnerships will feature Suja, the latest cold-pressed juice brand that’s making waves nationwide, offering complimentary juices in an array of flavors daily from 11 am – 7 pm from September 5 – 12. Stella & Dot, a social selling company of boutique-style jewelry and accessories with exclusive collections by notable designers, will host a trunk show (and offer discounts!) on September 5, 6, 9 and 10 from 2-6 pm.
Lincoln Square BID’s Fashion Plate Prix Fixe is open to the public for lunch, dinner and brunch during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. 27 restaurants are offering outstanding menu options, such as A Voce (pictured) offering a Three Course Prix Fixe Lunch for $33 and The Smith is hosting a $27 three-course lunch and complimentary sparkling morning punch with any breakfast entree. The Lincoln Square BID is also bringing back Lincoln Square Crew Cuts, offering speedy take-out options for busy crews working NYFW events. Discounts such as 10% off breakfast, lunch and dinner will be offered at 17 restaurants near Lincoln Square through September 21, 2013.
