Why We Love It:
I will admit that there are moments that a brilliant display forces me to leave my senses behind and wander into an upscale boutique, dreaming of leaving with bags and bags of clothing that will turn me miraculously into a style icon. What usually happens next is I look at a price tag, die a little on the inside, then spend a few more minutes browsing as to not let the show stewards know the panic that his happening deep in the recesses of my soul.
That never happens at GOLDIE + MAC. The same sort of gravitational pull draws me in, their clothing lines are new, and really stylish, but do tend to border on classic pieces. Most importantly they are affordable.
Now, I said affordable, I didn’t say cheap. It’s not Target. Nice clothes, fun accessories, great bags, and jewelry designed by local artists, that tends to be in a price range that won’t leave you sweating about your next AMEX payment when you leave.
The only downside: The shop is smallish, and stock is limited. Chances are that dress you like comes in small, medium, and large; one of each. So, sometimes getting there while your dress is in stock can be a bit tricky.
Added bonus: Great sale rack, always fully stocked.
