As a cozy East Village trattoria, Spina is more of an unwinding dinner restaurant than a hopping happy hour spot, but this spring they added killer drink specials to sip after-work by the bar or al fresco. Tuesday – Friday from 5:30 to 8 p.m., draft beers are $3, and glasses of wine are $6. Need a bite with your booze? Plates of meatballs or mussels are only $5 to accompany drink specials. Don’t miss out!
This St. Mark’s bar may be full of NYU and Cooper Union students, but it’s no frat-centric watering hole. Get cozy on long oak benches and tables inside or head to the front porch to enjoy happy hour specials outdoors Mon-Fri, 3pm-8pm of $5 selected cocktails and $4 beers. Don’t miss Bua’s grilled cheese on Pullman, offered with four gourmet cheese options for under $8 each to soak up your happy hour sins.
Perfect to beat the summer heat, Shoolbred’s bartenders have a juicer right on the bar to freshly squeeze your mimosa or spiked lemonade for an instant boozy cool down. Sit at one of their curbside tables for two-for-one beer and well drinks during happy hour on daily until 8pm. And splurge on a freshly squeeze cocktails for a few bucks more to get in your daily Vitamin C, of course.
A covered backyard garden keeps you cool in the hot summer sun, as you enjoy d.b.a’s daily happy hour specials from noon-7:30pm get $1 off all drinks. For a weekend deal, d.b.a. offers free bagels and lox on Sundays from 1-4pm. Order one of their should-be-famous bloody marys to enjoy with your free Sunday brunch for $8.
Boxcar Lounge offers an extended happy hour with two-for-one (on most items, top shelf and select drinks not included) on Monday-Thursday from 6-10pm, Friday from 4-10pm, Saturday and Sunday from 6-8 p.m. You can even BYOB (Bring Your Own Brunch) on Saturday and Sunday afternoons to enjoy their happy hour special in the garden with your food of choice.
