Get ready for Carol Barnett’s The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass tonight at Carnegie Hall. This exciting performance features quintet Monroe Crossing with the Masterworks Festival Chorus and New York City Chamber Orchestra. But that’s not all – they are joined by the New York Wind Symphony, featuring auphonium player SFC Jason Ham of the West Point Band. Get your tickets to see the show tonight at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $20-$110.
National Jazz Museum in Harlem: Benefit Concert with Dee Dee Bridgewater
Celebrate The National Jazz Museum in Harlem tonight with a special benefit concert featuring three-time Grammy Award winner Dee Dee Bridgewater. Plenty of special guests will also be performing tonight including NJMH Artistic Director-at-Large, Jonathan Batiste. Watch tonight’s honorees Lisa Staiano-Coico and McCoy Tyner receive the Jazz and Community Leadership Award and the Legends of Jazz Award, respectively. Tickets start at $20 and benefit begins at 7:30 p.m.

Ever wondered what goes on inside the mind of a songwriter? Make your way over to Joe’s Pub tonight to find out. Grammy winning singer-songwriter Dan Wilson will pull back the curtain on the art and practice of songwriting. He’ll share his insights using stripped-down renditions of some of the modern-day classics he has written as well as those he has written with such collaborators as Adele, Taylor Swift, and Carole King. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $25. Can’t’ make it tonight? He’ll also be performing tomorrow at the same time.
Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee with Jerry Seinfeld
Get ready to laugh because tonight you can watch Jerry Seinfeld present a fourth-season episode of his smash web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. This wildly popular show gives us a personal and intimate look at comedy and life with such luminaries as David Letterman, Tina Fey, and Chris Rock. Tonight, Jerry will discuss the production of this compelling and hilarious project. Tickets are $35 for general public, $25 for members.

Get in shape for summer and join the Shape Up NYC’s Couch to 5k group for a run through Prospect Park. This running group meets on the porch of Lefferts Historic House and is taught by expert fitness instructors who know how to make fitness fun! Tonight’s group run combines jogging, walking, and conditioning exercises to get you in shape for long distance running. Class will be held outdoors, rain or shine so come prepared. Class starts at 7 p.m.
