Many people might not know that he's also penned a middle-grade trilogy with the help of Kirsten Miller and illustrator Karl Kwasny. Learn more about his first book, Nightmares!, which is about a boy named Charlie and a group of kids who must face their fears to save their town. Get your copy signed tonight starting at 7 p.m.

Grab a drink and something to eat and start beating your highest score. The fun begins at 7 p.m.

Listen to former Peace Corps volunteer Ivan K. Landers talk about his experience in Paraguay amongst the Guarani, where he tamed wild hives and harvested honey in the middle of the jungle. Presenters Anthony Planakis and Gretchen Heine will discuss their work as go-to beekeeper for swarm captures in NYC and founder of Pollinator Planet, respectively. Actor and activist Lavern Cox recently earned an Emmy nomination for her work in Orange is the New Black. Tonight, she'll join her twin brother, artist M. Lamar, at the Baruch Performing Arts Center to discuss their lives and career choices. Find out what it was like growing up in Alabama, their growing realization of the paths their lives would take, their family, and much more. M. Lamar's solo art exhibition, Negrogothic, is at Participant now through October 12. Tonight's event kicks off GenderFluid, a week of transformative arts from transgender and genderfluid artists at the center. This will be the siblings first speaking engagement together so you definitely won't want to miss it. Tickets are $21 for general admission, $101 for VIP. Event begins at 8 p.m.
