Gear up for the release of Sharknado 2 by watching the first Sharknado tonight at Brooklyn Bridge Park. In the film, regulars of a beachside bar including owner Fin (Ian Ziering), bartender Nova (Casie Scerbo) and local drunk George (John Heard) team up with Fin's ex-wife April (Tara Reid) to investigate the ecological nightmare that has sharks swimming through the streets of Los Angeles and falling from the skies. Yep, you read that correctly. Movie begins at dusk and admission is free.

Seeger Fest kicks off tonight at Pier 46. Celebrate the life of folk legend Pete Seeger and his wife of seventy years, Toshi, through music, film, and community events during this five-day festival. Tonight, enjoy a screening of the Emmy Award-winning documentary Pete Seeger: The Power of Song, the film that includes interviews with such greats as Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Bonnie Raitt. Before the screening, there will be a short concert featuring The Chapin Sisters with special guests Adira and Alana Amram, Aurora Barnes, and Kristen Graves. Right before tonight's screening, Seegar's grandson, Kitama Cahill-Jackson, will talk about the film and answer a few questions from the audience. Event begins at 7:30 p.m.

Check out the pop-up Night Market along Water St. tonight. GrowNYC/Greenmarket and the Downtown Alliance are hosting this fun event where farmers will be selling their fresh produce, meats, and cheeses, while sharing a space with a curated roster of restaurants serving up prepared foods. There will also be live music and if you feel inspired to cook at home, copies of The New Greenmarket Cookbook will also be available for $20. Event goes from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.

This unique show is set in the future and features flying cars and robot appliances, atomic powered boobies, and spinning nuclear pasties. Sound intriguing? Show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets range from $15-$20.
