The draught list at this dimly-lit SoHo spot changes frequently, and this fall two highlights include Mckienzie's Hard Cider, Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin and Leipziger Bier Gose. Get there in time for happy hour (11:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. weekdays) and you can order the apple-flavored beverage for $6.50. There's no table service, but the bar food comes out fast – try their Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla.

In addition to Brooklyn Brewery's Oktoberfest, the local brewmasters are also whipping up Brooklyn Brown Ale, which was so popular it grew from holiday specialty to a popular year-round offering. The brewery is open during the week for evening tours and tastings. On Saturday, tours are free, but it gets crowded.
