The Macy’s Fireworks Spectacular — the city’s biggest, best display — will light up the sky for the Fourth of July once again this year. Broadcast live on 1010 WINS, the official radio station of Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, the show promises 40,000 pyrotechnic shells in a 25-minute dazzling show.
The theme for this year’s show is “Brave,” putting pride and patriotism on display in a big way. Taking place over the East River, the fireworks begin at approximately 9:20 p.m. and about 2 million spectators attend every year. The fireworks may be viewed in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn from any area with an unobstructed view of the sky above the East River.
