Mr. Walsh is the former Commissioner of the New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS). During his tenure, he reshaped the agency to directly focus on and respond to the needs of the City’s nearly 200,000 small businesses. Mr. Walsh’s leadership at SBS enhanced the delivery of technical assistance and incentives to the City’s small businesses and energized the City’s promotion and support of minority and women-owned businesses. Tucker Reed is the President of the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership (DBP), a not-for-profit local development corporation that serves as the primary champion for Downtown Brooklyn as a world-class business, cultural, educational, residential, and retail destination. Under Tucker’s leadership the DBP has become the driving force behind the emergence of the Brooklyn Tech Triangle as a key contributor to the growth of the innovation economy in New York City.


Anastasia Leng is the co-founder of Hatch. With customization at its core, Hatch enables anyone to redesign any product on their site and have it custom made just for you by artisans from around the world. Hatch was just selected as one of TimeOut’s Best New Shopping Sites of 2013 and as one of the 4 startups innovating retail by the National Retail Federation. Prior to that, she spent 5+ years at Google, working in New Business Development and Product Marketing. She moved to London to lead entrepreneurship efforts in Europe & the Middle East and was responsible for early-stage partnerships for Google Voice, Chrome, and Wallet. Anastasia was recently named number 2 in Business Insider’s The 30 Most Important Women Under 30 In Tech.


Mr. Kotch is the Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering.. The incubator has one goal. To help create great companies that will call NYC home. He launched Varick Street Incubator and DUMBO Incubator programs, recruited 27 tech startups helping secure 100M in early stage capital resulting in 1000 new jobs. The son of the former Inspector General of the FDNY and a lifelong educator in New York City’s public school system, Micah has deep roots in Brooklyn, where he lives with his wife and daughter.


Mr. Laboz co-owns United American Land LLC, a family-owned real estate development, investment and management company. Its principals own and manage almost fifty properties in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. In Brooklyn, Mr. Laboz serves as chairman of the Fulton Mall Association. United American Land is a primary force in the reclamation and revitalization of the historic Fulton Mall, a 17 block stretch housing more than 230 stores.
