Police Identify Woman In N.J. Diving Death

NEPTUNE, N.J. (CBS 2/AP) -- Authorities have identified a woman who died in a diving accident off the New Jersey coast.

The Coast Guard said 28-year-old Yasuki Okada of Princeton failed to resurface from 122-foot dive on Saturday.

A crew member aboard the Brielle-based Gypsy Blood called the Coast Guard at about 11:20 a.m. to report that the woman had not surfaced and had been missing for 35 minutes.

A dive master from the boat found her underwater soon after, and she was taken to shore by a Coast Guard helicopter. She was pronounced dead at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.

The accident happened about 15 miles east of Shark River.

The Coast Guard said Monday that the cause is still under investigation.
