Police Looking To Nab Lower East Side Burglary Suspect

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police in New York City are asking for the public's assistance to identify a suspect wanted in connection with seven burglaries on the Lower East Side.

In each of the incidents – the earliest dating back to June 28 -- police said, the suspect entered apartments on Orchard Street and removed property including cellphones, cameras, laptops, jewelry, cash and credit cards.

The latest incident occurred Wednesday when the suspect entered an apartment at 45 Orchard Street through an apartment door and got away with a laptop and a camera.

Police describe the suspect as being 18-25-years-old, 5'10'' and 210 pounds.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
