Bronx Terror Plot Suspect Threatens To Kill Jews

NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- Prosecutors played secretly-recorded tapes in court, saying said showed a terror plot suspect talking with a paid informant.

James Cromitie, one of four men arrested last year accused of plotting to bomb synagogues in the Bronx, was on trial Monday.

The tapes contained angry boasts, hatred and threats of terrorism. Several times he can be heard threatening to kill Jews.

"I would kill 10 [Jews] Before I think about killing one Muslim. Don't be surprised if one day you might see me in handcuffs again. Don't be surprised because I have zero tolerance for people who disrespect Muslims," Cromitie said.

Prosecutors were planning to play more videotapes when the trial resumes.

Defense lawyers claim the four men were entrapped by the paid informant.
