ASPCA Investigates Animal Poisonings In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- The ASPCA was investigating a report of someone poisoning animals in the Bronx.

Last week, members of a family in Woodlawn said their dog became violently ill and died after a walk in the neighborhood.

The ASPCA posted flyers up and down East 235th Street to alert pet owners.

Some residents think the person who left the poison may have been targeting stray cats.

At least one dog owner says she's more cautious now. "Make sure dogs don't pick anything or eat something, could be poison, someone leaving it around for them," said Robin Cummings of Woodlawn.
