NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Cuomo announced Sunday his endorsement for Eric Schneiderman to replace him as New York Attorney General.

Cuomo said he knew him since they worked together on Mario Cuomo's 1982 gubernatorial campaign.

The two were joined by supporters at the entrance to Central Park Sunday.

Cuomo said Schneiderman can work on fighting crime on Wall Street, health care and the workplace.

WCBS 880's Ginny Kosola also asked Cuomo about reports that his opponent, Carl Paladino, has a child out of wedlock. Cuomo refused to comment, but Schneiderman answered there were substantive differences between the two gubernatorial candidates without needing to mention such a topic.
