Paramus Police Looking For Bank Robbery Suspect

PARAMUS, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Paramus are investigating a robbery of the Valley National Bank in the Bergen Town Center which happened Monday afternoon.

Deputy Chief James Sheehan said the nervous suspect approached a teller window and demanded hundreds and fifties around 3:30 p.m. and threatened to shoot and kill everyone if his demands weren't met.

Authorities said that when the teller told the man she had only smaller bills, he went to a second teller window and made the same demand.

The suspect then fled through the main entrance with an undisclosed amount of money from the second teller.

Police said the suspect never displayed a weapon.

The suspect is described as 5'7''-5'10'', approximately 160 pounds and was said to be in his late thirties to early forties. He had short dark brown or black hair with some gray, authorities said. He was last seen wearing khaki pants with a white t-shirt under a blue and white plaid shirt.
