Group Celebrates Birthday Party For Centenarians In Queens
NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- It was a very special birthday party in Queens for dozens of people who've lived to be 100 or more.
Fifty-eight centenarians were honored by Selfhelp Community Services in Flushing, a a non-profit group that helps seniors get the services they need so they can live at home for as long as possible.
As to the secret of a long life, one birthday boy told CBS 2HD"s Cindy Hsu: "Listen to your doctor, walk for exercise, and find your passion."
"That makes you happy, you can live to 120," said Steve Pulwars, who's 100-years-old
The birthday party included a centenarians' art display, a poetry reading and music performance.
