NYPD Investigates Suspicious Vehicle Near Port Authority

NEW YORK (AP) -- The NYPD has reopened streets after investigating a suspicious vehicle near Manhattan's Port Authority bus terminal.

Police say the minivan was parked outside a Westin Hotel with the hazard lights on Wednesday. It wasn't clear how long it had been there.

Emergency Services officers with a dog investigated and then moved the vehicle to the side of the street.

Police had closed a few blocks around the area. Authorities blocked off 43rd Street from Eighth Avenue to Times Square.

They also closed Eighth Avenue from the 42nd Street bus terminal to around 44th Street.
