Jets Waive Linebacker Kenwin Cummings

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets have waived linebacker Kenwin Cummings, who played mostly on special teams for them.

Cummings joined the Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2008 and wound up on the team's practice squad. After spending the first nine weeks of the 2009 season on that squad, he was added to the 53-man roster on Nov. 16. Cummings made his NFL debut on special teams in the Jets' wild-card win at Cincinnati.

This season, Cummings saw action on special teams in three games.
