Police Hunt For L.I. Restaurant Holdup Suspects
LYNBROOK, N.Y. (AP) -- Police on Long Island are looking for two men who held up a fast food restaurant after forcing all the employees at gunpoint into a back room.
The bandits entered a McDonald's on Merrick Road in Lynbrook Thursday evening, placed an order and then went behind the counter. Police say they then forced eight workers into a back office where they ordered the manager to open the safe.
Police say they removed an undetermined amount of cash and fled, but not before taking more money from the cash registers.
Police say there were no injuries.
They ask anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All call will remain confidential.
