Bronx Police Searching For Armed Robbery Suspect

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The 44th Precinct in the Bronx is facing a string of related armed robberies and is now seeking public assistance in identifying and finding the suspect.

The string of robberies has taken place all on East 170 Street, where the suspect has robbed four commercial establishments in three months, according to police.

The most recent incident occurred Friday morning at 132 East 170 Street where the suspect fled with an undetermined amount of money.

Before that, the same suspect robbed that same business the night before and on Aug. 17 all around 5:30 a.m, police said.

The other incident was on Aug. 19 at 163 East 170 Street.

In each of the incidents, the suspect has displayed a black handgun and demanded money from the employees.

The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 16 and 19 years old, approximately 5-feet-7-inches tall, and between 130 and 150 pounds.

No victims have suffered any injuries.

Police are asking anyone with information in regards to these incidents to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
