"They were more vigilant and I noticed there was a lot more patting down and searching," said Michelle, who had just arrived from Los Angeles. "They were a little more strict.

Michelle said she was a little apprehensive but made it nonetheless.

When asked if the increased security helped, she said she felt "a little more comfortable."

Airport staff member Herbert said personnel have taken every precaution in response to the threats.

"You can travel very safely today in the U.S.," he said.

One passenger named Wendy was also apprehensive but was satisfied with the security.

"I knew about it, but I refuse to think about it. If you're gonna travel, you gotta not worry about it," she said.

Passengers say security personnel seem more vigilant so they're less concerned.

"I think security is pretty good so I'm not concerned. Hopefully I'll be okay," said Pilar, who was traveling to Colombia.

Tom feels safe but thinks that there's more to learn about the latest act of terror.

"I'm not sure why they're doing cargo planes. That leads me to believe that there is something else going on, that there's some new plot or new strategy that we don't know about or haven't thought about," he said.
