It's Still A Tight Race Between Holt And Sipprelle

TRENTON, NJ (WCBS 880) - If President Barack Obama's policies play a role in any Congressional race, it'll definitely be in the 12th District in New Jersey.

Democrat Rush Holt, a former rocket scientist who is seeking a seventh term, is a huge supporter of Obama and his economic stimulus program saying that the nation's ten percent unemployment would be even worse if the $800 billion stimulus program hadn't gone through.

Then you have Republican investment banker Scott Sipprelle, who contends the money should've gone to job creation and worker retraining. He calls the program a complete bust that benefitted only politically connected lobbyists and lawyers.

A recent poll shows Holt ahead 51 to 43 percent.
