Nick Cannon received the ultimate honor of “ringing” the opening bell at the NY Stock Exchange (NYSE) this morning.
Cannon was joined by Jim Cramer, host of CNBC’s “Mad Money,” David Karp, founder of Tumblr, Charlie Kim, CEO and Chairman of Next Jump Inc, Susan Ellis, CEO of (RED), and the three finalists of the “Movers and Changers” competition.READ MORE: Kreider's Hat Trick Powers Rangers To Win Over Coyotes
You can see Nick on the far right in the inset pic. For some reason, Cannon didn’t get to ring the actual bell even though he was dressed for the part. He was however, texting like a champ.
After the opening bell, Cannon was to join a panel discussion at the “Movers and Changers” competition which is a nationwide search by NYSE Euronext and mtvU to uncover the country’s next generation entrepreneurs.
The competition is held in conjuction with Global Entrepreneurship Week.
