NEW YORK (AP) — A parolee already accused of wielding an ice pick in a series of robberies in New York City elevators has been charged with two more similar muggings.

John Martinez is being held without bail after being arraigned Monday on charges of robbing two women in elevators in a Bronx apartment complex on Nov. 14. Bronx prosecutors say he was armed with a knife in one holdup and an ice pick in the other. Prosecutors say security cameras recorded both incidents.
