Police: Wallet Stolen From Stranded NY Driver

HICKSVILLE, N.Y. (AP) -- Police said a man who was stranded during a major winter storm was robbed of his wallet by men who initially appeared to be trying to help him.

The man got stuck in the snow around 1 a.m. Monday while driving on Plainview Road in Hicksville. Police said two men approached and offered to help push the car.

When they weren't able to move it, one of the men put his hand under his jacket and demanded the driver's wallet.

The two men then fled with the wallet.
