NEW YORK (CBS 2) — The NYPD was searching Wednesday for suspects in a Christmas Day jewelry heist in Chelsea.

The robbery was caught on surveillance cameras.

Late in the afternoon on the 25th, three men broke into the Ultra Diamonds store at 707 Sixth Avenue. They got in by first accessing a neighboring building and knocking a hole in the wall.

The suspects then removed jewelry from the glass show cases and safe, and left through the hole they’d made.

Police ask anyone with any information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
