Rockland Home Contractor Accused Of Swindling

PEARL RIVER, NY (WCBS 880) - A Pearl River home improvement contractor who worked under the company name Olivia Rose Landscaping Contractors has been arrested for allegedly swindling $50,000 from a customer he was supposed to do a home renovation for.

52-year-old John DiGiacomo has been charged with grand larceny.

His corporation has also been charged.

Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe says DiGiacomo started work on a $134,000 project and then walked away from it - keeping the $50,000 he had already been paid.

If convicted, DiGiacomo faces up to seven years in prison.
