Heineken Offers Free Taxis For White Plains Partiers
WHITE PLAINS (WCBS 880) -- If you're celebrating the New Year in White Plains and you feel you can't drive, the good people of Heineken are willing to drive you home.
For White Plains residents who know they'll be drinking, Heineken will provide a rid when the party is over, reports WCBS 880's Catherine Cioffi.
Heineken USA's Tara Carraro says they are once again hosting the Safe Ride program, offering free taxi rides anywhere in Westchester County.
"We do really take the idea of drinking and driving very seriously, and we don't think anyone should do it," Carraro said. "This is just our way of being able to give back to the community."
Cars will be available from December 31 at 11 p.m. until January 1 at 3 a.m. at the intersection of Mamaroneck Avenue and East Post Road in White Plains. Call 1-800-TAXICAB for more information.
