NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- It may be cold but there are some hot events great for the whole family this weekend. "Time Out New York Kids" has some wonderful suggestions.

Description: Popular local performer Erin Lee presents a wintery concert that will have kids rocking to songs about snowflakes, snowsuits and even loud sneezes. Before the show, kids can romp through the play space ($15 for an hour)-including the two-story tree house's fiber-optic-star cave-or splash around in the multitiered water table. Ages 1 to 8.

2. Martin Luther King Day Celebration Event at the Brooklyn Children's Museum

Description: After a three-year, $67 million renovation, the Museum of the Moving Image will reopen on Saturday, January 15, and is offering free admission on Monday, January 17 in honor of Martin Luther King Day. The revamped and expanded institution features scores of new attractions, but it's also home to some older, spiffed-up kid magnets. All Ages.
