NJ State Senator Wants Death Penalty for Cop Killer
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) - The man who allegedly executed a Lakewood police officer in his patrol car Friday would be put to death under a bill being drafted by the state senator for that area.
WCBS Anchor Wayne Cabot spoke with Robert Singer who complains that the suspect in the killing "is going like a rock star to prison because he killed a police officer. He should be put to death."

Singer wants to restore the death penalty for three things: the murder of an on-duty law enforcement officer, the murder of a child, and for a terrorist attack that results in fatalities. He says several colleagues have asked to sign on as co-sponsors and he believes they can rally the votes to change the law.
