Charles Barkley Talks Knicks, Carmelo On The Fan

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- "NBA on TNT" analyst Charles Barkley trekked through the snow to the WFAN studios on Thursday morning to discuss the Knicks, and all things New York sports, with Boomer & Carton.

"Mike D'Antoni runs a perfect system, taking advantage of (Stoudemire's) athletic ability," Barkley said. "They did a good job, some things didn't work out they had planned, but Amar'e's a nice building block."

Although Sir Charles is "sick of the whole Carmelo thing," he thinks Anthony would be a good fit for the Knicks.

"Now if you get Carmelo, and (with) Amar'e, you've got two nice pieces to build for your future," Barkley said. "He's a talent that you might have to go out and get."

Barkley also talked about meeting "Dr. J" for the first time, LeBron James' off-season fiasco, Thursday night's Knicks-Heat match-up, Rex Ryan, and more.
