B&C Show Blog & Audio: Over Already

Bobby Dwyer

Craig was not pleased to deliver some somber news this morning, but it comes with the territory when you host a radio show in New York and after Boomer vented about his Rangers shoot-out loss to the Penguins, Craigie dropped the Bomb… wait for it… the Yankees will not make the playoffs this year.  He didn't stop there though, he went on to say they will finish 3rd in the AL East behind the Red Sox & Rays and on paper that they aren't much better than those 'Not So Amazin' Mets.  So a bold statement indeed, but Craig claims he had a feeling and that he is just being honest.  Boomer did not buy into Craig's claim, saying it's way too early make such a prediction, but that didn't stop Booms from predicted a Cy Young Award for AJ Burnett's mantel.  So the guys opened up today's Show with a little prognostication...

Jimmy Johnson knows a thing or two about the Super Bowl, having won two of them while coaching the Dallas Cowboys in the 90's.  In fact Johnson won his two titles in back-to-back years, 1992 & 1993.  He joined B&C today to talk about his Super Bowl experience and his relationship with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.  We also heard about his time on the CBS reality hit, 'Survivor: Nicaragua' and his deal with the male enhancement product Extenze, which Craig thought could have come in handy while he was trapped in Nicaragua…

Jim Burt was scheduled to join the Program yesterday, but was thwarted by the inclement weather.  Although it wasn't much better today, Burt 'manned-up', as Craig put it and made his way in.  The guys had a nice chat with Burt, talking about the old days, comparing Phil Simms & Jeff Hostetler, talking about what it was like being a teammate of Lawrence Taylor's and of course the 'knock-out' blow he delivered to Joe Montana in the 1986 Divisional Playoff game against the 49ers…

Byron Hunt was a teammate of Burt's when he played with the Giants and he came along with him this morning so the guys invited him into the fray and Hunt obliged.  From there all hell broke loose as Hunt was very candid when talking about the wild times, which included numerous anecdotes involving 'ladies of the evening', he took part in during his playing days.  If you would like a good laugh folks, then this is some audio you'll want to listen to, trust me…
