3-Year-Old Girl Found Walking Alone On Harlem Street Tuesday Morning

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are questioning the father of a 3-year-old girl, who was seen walking by herself along West 127th Street in Harlem early Tuesday morning.

Little Kadiras Kamara is now safe and in the care of her mother after being checked out at the hospital, but police said the girl was spotted out on the street around 2:45 a.m. wearing no top or shoes.

The girl's father, Yacou Kamara, said he left the girl and her older siblings home with a friend inside his third-floor apartment on Morningside Avenue.

However, that friend told 1010 WINS' Al Jones he was asleep and had no idea he was supposed to be babysitting until police came pounding on the door shortly after 4 a.m. in the morning. He said he had no idea that the young girl would be so bold as to leave the house and wander about.

"I never seen the baby doing that. That was the first time so I was just surprised about the act she be doing," he told Jones.
