B&C Show Blog & Audio: It's Good To Have Options

Bobby Dwyer

The guys opened up the show in a rather awkward manner today as Boomer was all over Al Dukes for booking Scott Brosius, who the Booms is a big fan of, to come on.  Al explained to the Blonde Bomber that Brosius is not only a former Yankee, but he was also just named the manger of the 2011 18U National Team.  So that, combined with CC Sabathia not ruling out the possibility that he might exercise his player option, which would allow him to test the free-agent market after this season, made Al's case.  Speaking of CC, B&C were in agreement that the 'hefty-lefty' would be crazy if he didn't leave himself the option to opt out following the season, for the record Sabathia has reportedly shed 30lbs. from his large frame, but I think the 'hefty-lefty' tag still works.  Boomer & Craig are both thinking positively regarding the team they both root for (no, Craig is not a Yankee fan), I'm talking, of course, about the Mets.  Boomer sees at least a seven game improvement from the team that occupies Citi Field and Craig too is singing the praises of those 'Not So Amazin' Mets…

Digger Phelps is an ESPN college basketball analyst and generally those folks employed by the 'World Wide Leader…' are not guests on WFAN, just ask Bobby V, but Digger is a man and with that said he 'manned-up' and joined B&C in-studio this morning to talk about prostate awareness and his personal battle with prostate cancer.  He also had no problem talking about January 19th, 1974 the night his Notre Dame Fighting Irish defeated John Wooden's UCLA Bruins, snapping their 88 game winning streak.  The guys also picked his brain about the recent resurrection of the St. Johns program, thanks to a former UCLA coach Steve Lavin.  All-in-all it was a pretty cordial conversation, until Craig informed Digger that he really didn't like him…

***Now we get to one the Blog's most popular features, the daily 'Attention Grabber'.  We have teamed up with the folks over at Maxim.com and today we could have just used one of the SI Swimsuit Models that pranced around here earlier and called it day, but considering the plethora of woman Maxim has to offer, we decided to go in a different direction.  That direction took us to Los Angeles, California and that is where we found Kristen Eykel (she was actually born in Tucson, Arizona), she is a former model who in my opinion still has a pretty good relationship with the camera...Helloooooooooo Kristen!!!
