B&C Show Blog & Audio: Get It Done Already

Bobby Dwyer

Craig was in a very good mood this morning after taking his kids to see the new Justin Bieber movie, 'Never Say Never', for which he gave rave reviews, yesterday.  He was also equally excited about today's big touch football game against the MSG crew, which is starting to become a war of words.  Boomer was pretty fired-up himself after he was on hand at the Garden last night to see Knicks beat the Atlanta Hawks 102-90, but unfortunately his good mood was somewhat short lived, as today's Knicks news predictably revolved around the prospect of bolstering (or depleting depending on your take), their roster by pulling off a trade for much heralded Nuggets scoring machine Carmelo Anthony, instead of the win which sends them into the All-Star break two game above the .500 mark.  While Boomer was at the game the folks at MSG gave him a gift bag or sorts that included an authentic, personalized #1 Knicks jersey, with the name Esiason on the back.  Craig understandably felt shunned, having not received a jersey of his own and he let it be known…

Plus, Craig expresses more displeasure with MSG and Jerry provides an update, Mike Breen takes a shot at Boomer and it had nothing to do with his blazer & tie, Dan Patrick calls in to talk about his relationships with the stars, Dominique plays the role of Mets beat reporter, Long Island's own Wally Szczerbiak makes an in-studio visit to talk some hoops, Jerry offers a Moment of the Day and hot blonde grabs my 'Attention'…

It'sGary

Gary operates the cameras for the B&C Show on the MSG Network.  He is in fact the only MSG employee that actually works from here at the WFAN studios every day.  With that said, when the crew over at MSG was putting together their team to go against the B&C staff in a game of touch football (the game will take place later today) they inexcusably left Gary out of the mix, even after he expressed interest in participating.  Once Craig got wind of the wrong doing he took it to the airwaves and called out those responsible for the slight.  With that out of the way Jerry was free to deliver his first update of the Show, during which we heard about the Knicks win, the Nets loss, the Devils remarkable turnaround and Craig telling the Wilpon's to zip their lips…

Boomer wore a blazer and tie to last night's Knicks game, which Craig was not happy about by the way, and when the MSG cameras found the Blonde Bomber, play-by-play man Mike Breen commented that the Booms looked old.  As you can imagine, Boomer was not thrilled, especially after Breen blew him off prior to the game…

DIRECTV And Mark Cuban's HDNet Super Bowl Party - Red Carpet
(Photo by Michael Tran/Getty Images for DIRECTV)

Dan Patrick conducted a couple of news worthy interviews on his radio/TV show earlier in the week with one Charlie Sheen and from headline garnering actor to another (actress in this case) Sheen offered some advice to Lindsay Lohan.  Craig was curious about the relationship between Patrick and Sheen, so he had Al give him a call to come on for a little chat.  Patrick called in and not only explained his relationship with Sheen, but he also talked about relationships with Adam Sandler, Michael Kay and Jennifer Aniston (Hello!!!).  At the conclusion, Dan thanked Craig for the self-esteem boost, took a shot at Boomer failing to win a Super Bowl and said goodbye…

Dominique-FredWilpon
(Al 'Hughes' Dukes Photography)

During his 8:30 update Jerry reported that according to 'tweets' Fred Wilpon, who is scheduled to address the media later this morning, had arrived in the locker room at the Mets facility down in Port St. Lucie.  Craig couldn't understand why someone would 'tweet' such news in the first place and Jerry offered very little in defense of his fellow media members.  Then Craig decided to have Dominique pretend to be a beat reporter and have her call in and low-and-behold, she tracked down Fred Wilpon himself or at least someone she thought was him…

Wally Szczerbiak  played in the NBA for 10 years and to be honest he never really lived up to being the promise of being the 6th overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 1999 NBA Draft, but he did have a pretty nice career in the league.  Heck, anytime a guy can play in the NBA for 10 years he has to be doing something right and oh yeah, Szczerbiak could shoot the lights out.  These days when Wally isn't mowing his lawn shirtless, he is a college basketball analyst for CBS College Sports and he joined B&C in-studio to talk about his career, specifically playing with LeBron James & Delonte West in Cleveland and the sport he analyzes for a living.  He also agreed to team-up with Craigie on the golf course to take Boomer and a partner of his choosing.
