So much to get to on this Friday Edition of the Boomer & Carton Morning Extravaganza, starting with Boomer's disappointment in the Morning Show Staff after our loss to the crew over at MSG in a little touch football game yesterday afternoon. Craig the QB, in the true fashion of a leader, blamed everyone but himself when explaining the defeat to Boomer. From there the conversation shifted to the All-Star forward currently earning his paycheck in Denver. Mikhail Prokhorov and his New Jersey Nets are reportedly back in the fold, as we hear that both Prokhorov and Knicks owner James Dolan will meet with Carmelo in Los Angeles over the All-Star weekend, hoping to work something out. So round and round we go…Will he be a Knick??? Will he be a Net??? Will he remain in Denver??? The guys do their best to make sense of it all to open-up today's Radio Program…

Plus, Jerry's first update sparks a discussion about vindication, a 62 year old man brags on the radio about poisoning trees and gets busted, Lou from Staten Island doesn't let getting home at 5am prevent him from calling in this morning, more on the touch football game against MSG as we hear from team captain Andrew Braun, Rod Gilbert and Adam Graves invite Boomer to play along, Jerry's Moment of the Day has a southern theme to it and an 'Attention Grabber' with an Italian theme and a nice smile…
Jerry 'Rello' got his update started with the hot topic of the day, or the week, or the month for that matter, anyway you know where this is going, the Carmelo Anthony trade talks as the February 24th (@ 3pm) deadline nears. Then it was on to the Rangers, who beat the LA Kings in a shootout, earning themselves two points in the process, but that wasn't good enough for Boomer. The Blonde Bomber didn't like that the Blue Shirts twice took a one goal lead in the third period only to give it back, Craig didn't want to hear it though. Then we heard audio from Fred Wilpon who vowed that the Mets ownership will be vindicated when all of the facts come our surrounding the $1 billion lawsuit against them for their involvement with Bernie Madoff and his multi-billion dollar Ponzi Scheme. B&C talked about the comments by Jeff Wilpon's father and speculated on the likelihood that they will be vindicated when the dust settles…

Harvey Almorn Updyke of Dadeville, Alabama was arrested on criminal mischief chargers in connection with the poisoning of some historic oak trees on the campus of Auburn University. Apparently the Auburn police launched an investigation after a man calling himself 'Al from Dadeville' called a Birmingham radio station bragging about poisoning the trees. Craig imagined how that call might have gone, so he decided to act it out with some help from his friends…

My favorite caller to Show is far and away Lou in Staten Island. I mention this because good ole Lou dialed the guys up this morning after a Thursday night out that included about 12 rum & cokes and saw him arrive home at around 5am. But just after 8 o'clock he was on with the guys, talking about sex, his liquor intake, Seinfeld and putting lemon slices on his eyes…

It was a quite an event yesterday afternoon when the Morning Show Staff (Craig, Al, Nick [Lupus/Rocco], Dominique, Troy, Scott, and me) played the crew from MSG in a touch football game. Craig predictably placed all of the blame for the loss on the rest of us, this after completing about 29 of his 85 pass attempts, but nonetheless just before 9 o'clock he ripped into Al a little and then we heard from the Captain of the MSG squad Andrew Braun (pictured above), to get his account of the action packed game…

Rod Gilbert & Adam Graves stopped by the B&C Allstate studio this morning to talk a little hockey and once again, invite Boomer to be part of the Rangers alumni team, in correlation with the Rangers 'Skate to the Garden: The Ultimate Fantasy Hockey Camp'. Craig wasn't sure how'd this interview go with the two legendary Rangers, because hockey guests tend to defer to the Booms, but his worries were unfounded, as the four of them quickly found common ground…
