Brother Of NJ Weedman Arrested

BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police have arrested the brother of a former political candidate and pot activist known as NJ Weedman for allegedly receiving two pounds of marijuana via UPS.

The Times of Trenton reports that Russell Forchion, a 41-year-old Clementon resident, is charged with drug possession, intent to distribute, possession of marijuana over 50 grams, and conspiracy to distribute marijuana. The charges stem from his Feb. 11 arrest with two others.

Russell Forchion is the brother of Ed Forchion of Pemberton, who tried to get his legal name changed to NJ Weedman. Ed Forchion has run for governor, U.S. Senate and Congress. He was once apprehended by state troopers for smoking a joint in the Statehouse in 2000.

Bail was set at $30,000 for Russell Forchion.
