CBS: Sheen's Antics Lead To End Of 'Two and a Half Men' Season

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Tick-tick boom.

It appears Charlie Sheen just imploded one of TV's most popular shows.

The troubled actor unleashed yet another rant Thursday. Later that night the show's creators fired back, saying there will be no new episodes any time soon.

In fact, production on "Two and a Half Men" has been discontinued, bringing the season to an early end, CBS 2's Hazel Sanchez reports.

Like a loose cannon, the star of the CBS hit comedy unleashed yet another crazy rant on the airwaves. His target, among others, was the successful sitcom's creator, Chuck Lorre.

"It's nothing this side of deplorable that a certain Chaim Levine, yeah that's Chuck's real name, mistook this rock star for his own selfish exit strategy, bro," Sheen said on  syndicated radio's The Alex Jones Show.

"Last I checked, Chaim, I spent close to the last decade effortlessly and magically converting your tin cans into pure gold. And the gratitude I get is this Charlatan chose not to do his job, which is to write."

Sheen, 45, also lashed out against Alcoholic's Anonymous, party girls, his ex-wife and founding father Thomas Jefferson. He wouldn't shut up and now his show has been shut down. The following statement was released by CBS Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television on Thursday night:

"Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of "Two and a Half Men" for the remainder of the season."

The stunning decision came down shortly after the troubled actor told the Los Angeles radio show he wouldn't let anyone or anything stop him from returning to work next week.

"I'm sorry man, but I've got magic. I've got poetry in my fingertips. Most of the time, and this includes naps, I'm an F-18, bro. And I will destroy you in the air. I will deploy my ordinance to the ground," Sheen said.

This was far from the first of Sheen's radio rampages, but his bizarre behavior seemed to escalate since his stint in rehab.

"I have a disease? [expletive] I cured it with my brain, with my mind. I cured it. I'm done," Sheen said.

The latest outburst, perhaps the angriest, may just be what pushed production executives to their limit.

"They look at their loser lives and then they look at me and say, 'I can't process it.' Well, no, and you never will! Stop trying! Just sit back and enjoy the show," Sheen said.
