B&C Show Blog & Audio: Rangers, Giants Abhorrently Offensive

Bobby Dwyer

Boomer could not hide his disgust with the Rangers this morning (to be honest I don't think he had any interest hiding it in the first place) after they took one on the chin at the Garden last night, losing 3-1 to the Wild and falling into 8th place in the Eastern Conference playoff race.  The Booms was so angry in fact that he left the game early, an act that did not go unnoticed by the masses and more importantly it didn't go unnoticed by Craigie, as he was alerted by the aforementioned masses and he called his radio partner out.  Then Craig, the Mets fan, admitted to openly rooting against those 'Not So Amazin' Mets (I can relate to that) yesterday, specifically Oliver Perez, with the hopes that today we would be talking about the former Met, Oliver Perez.  Instead Ollie P pitched pretty well, against a Cardinals split-squad, but nonetheless as of today he is still a member of the team, so it looks like Craigie will have to root a little harder next time.  St. Johns seems to have everyone rooting for them, but last night they had their six game winning streak snapped at the hands of the Seton Hall Pirates and now it's time to figure out exactly what kind of team the Johnnies are as the Big East Tournament gets closer.  So all of that, Boomer talks about slamming the salami and Craigie tells Rangers coach John Tortorella what fans of the Blue Shirts would like to hear come out of his mouth on this Friday edition of 'The  Morning Extravaganza'…

Plus, Craig mocks Boomer and then the Booms returns the favor, Craig describes what he calls an 'abhorrently offensive' act by the New York Giants organization, the Giants new theme song and an 'audibilized' email from a cash strapped listener, Tracy & Dominique are making trends, Al reinforces how boring he is, then sings his little heart out, Ralph Macchio is gonna rhythmically step to music on a grand stage, Jerry's offers a Friday Moment to remember and an 'Attention Grabber' whose stock is rising…

The guys got a call from a fella named Mark and he had a story about working as a bartender a while back and having the honor of serving Boomer with a beer.  Craig loves when callers dial up the Show and tell detailed stories about a chance meeting they had with Boomer and Mark's call was treated no differently.  Predictably the conversation shifted to talk about shocking nipples, which was followed by a very informative update courtesy of Jerry 'Rello' Recco…

NFL Lockout Looms As Negotiations Reach Final Day

For the first hour of the show, Craig teased what he called an 'abhorrently offensive act' by the New York Giants organization.  Amidst all of the bad press the NFL is receiving for the ongoing labor negotiations, where the two-sides are trying to figure out how to split up the $9 billion profit the lucrative league generates yearly and the sad state our economy is currently in, the Giants figured this to be a fine time to send out an email encouraging their fans to buy PSL's.  They even added a catchy sale pitch, 'The Giants Will Answer the Bell, Will You???'  Craig accused the Giants of being out of touch and said their fan base deserves much better, which is why he reiterated numerous times throughout the morning that he finds what the Giants have done to be 'abhorrently offensive'…

With the news that the Giants are actively shopping their PSL's with a clever new sales pitch, Craig came-up with the perfect new theme song for the greedy, I mean business savvy organization.  He figured the O'Jays 1974 hit, 'For the Love of Money' would work pretty well in conveying the message the Giants are trying to get across.  Then we got an email from a listener who would like to buy himself a PSL but can't because of a friendship with Michael Kay…

Craig was very happy to point and proud out that both Tracy Burgess and Dominique 'the Boomer & Carton make-up girl' are very high on the Google trends according to our friends over at Bob's Blitz.  Then Boomer expressed his interest in having a unique song for the Show, ala the song we hear at the open of Mike Francesa's afternoon show, 'Mike'd Up' here on the FAN, so Al and Eddie gave him a little taste of what he could expect if that were to happen…

The focused remained on Al, who as you know is a big Mets fans and like Craig, he was very excited yesterday at the prospect of not having to see Oliver Perez pitch for the team he roots for, ever again.  Then Ollie P took the mound yesterday and looked okay, which raises the question, what's next for the erratic southpaw???  In times of uncertainty Al often turns to music to help ease his mind so last night he took a trip down that road and emerged at the end of his journey with a brand new Ollie P parody song, set to the Beatles 1965 hit, 'Yesterday' and he performed it LIVE on the air…
