B&C Morning Show Blog & Audio: LT, Chocolates And A Racing Legend

Bobby Dwyer

Boomer was feeling pretty good this morning after the Rangers won their 5th straight game behind Henrik Lundqvist's 10th shut-out of the season.  Craig was even willing to talk a little hockey this snowy Wednesday morning, which is unusual considering he is with me in thinkin' that 'nobody cares about hockey', but fear not Craigie has not lost his mind, well on second thought he just might have???  The reason he was so willing to talk about the sport that Boomer loves is that this Thursday (3/24) Craig will be getting between the pipes at the Garden, when he and the Blonde Bomber take part in the 'Skate to the Garden – The Ultimate Fantasy Hockey Tournament'.  Craig's biggest concern at this point is whether or not he should wear an athletic supporter and/or a cup.  Boomer suggested that he should at least wear an athletic supporter because 'it keeps the junk in place'.  With that out of the way Craig wondered aloud why so many people are still defending Lawrence Taylor, who was sentenced to six years of probation on Tuesday, after pleading guilty back in January to charges of sexual misconduct and patronizing a 16 year-old for prostitution, stemming from an incident in May of 2010.  The guys talked about some comments Taylor made during an interview yesterday with Fox News, during which he had some rather interesting things to say about the incident.  B&C pulled no punches when painting a picture of what kind of person they believe Taylor to be based on his well documented past and they also called out the teenage victim's lawyer, Gloria Allred, for the way she has handled the case…

Boomer thanked Craig for single handily bringing the Shamrock Shake back to McDonalds, which is something we should all really be thanking Craigie for because those shakes are out of this world.  Then we heard from Jerry, who knows a thing or two about a good shake, and he delivered his first update of the day where we heard a comparison between chocolates and prostitutes in relation to the LT story.  Jerry also outlined some new rules the NFL would like to instill when they figure out their labor issue and Boomer offered the perspective of a player on the changes…

When hearing Lawrence Taylor's comments about never knowing what you're gonna get when ordering a prostitute, one couldn't help but think of the famous line from 'Forrest Gump' uttered by Tom Hanks,  'life is like box of chocolates'  With that in mind, Rocco put together a little production piece that captured the moment perfectly.  Then the guys tried to figure out what's next for the registered sex offender and they threw around the idea of a possible 'Reality TV Show' featuring the former NY Giants star…

Helio Castroneves is a Brazilian open wheel race car driver that competes in the North American Indy Car Series and according to Craig, has it all figured out.  The 35 year-old has never been married, but did recently have a child with his girlfriend and has won the Indianapolis 500 three times, putting him in elite company.  This morning Castroneves found himself in some more elite company as he joined B&C in-studio.  The guys asked him about the difference between open-wheel racing and NASCAR, finishing 2nd to Danica Patrick back in April of 2008 and Helio learned all about Boomer & Craig's 'man-grooming' practices…

In attempt to brighten up a cold, miserable, snowy spring day, we played a wildly popular game/trivia show called 'Do You Know More Sports Than…'  Today we had a Gal named Stephanie, who is on the door step of marriage as she is preparing to tie the knot this Saturday.  This is bad news for Al of course, who often like to make a play for the Gal's affection, which was out of the question today considering her fiancé was accompanying her.  Anyway, Stephanie's opponent was a guy named Joe and the two of them locked horns in quite a battle.  If you would like a chance to participate in the future, go ahead and click here...

While researching for his highly anticipated Moment of the Day, Jerry learned that Helio Castroneves is worth over $2 billion, that's billion with a 'B'.  With that in mind, today's Moment became even funnier as the guys asked him about wearing Speedos and his 'man-grooming' habits, then followed that up by telling him all about their own grooming practices.  Did I mention Castroneves is worth over $2 billion…mind-boggling!!!
