Former Gov. Paterson Hosts Radio Show On WFAN

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Former New York Gov. David Paterson was a WFAN guest host Monday night. Paterson took to the air at 10 p.m. for a three-hour show in which he talked NCAA Tournament, Knicks basketball and the New York Mets.

Before he went on the air, he sat down with 1010 WINS' Kyle McMorrow for a quick chat about sports, politics and hosting his own sports show.

Paterson said among his childhood dreams were to "become governor of the state of New York" and "to host my own radio show one day."

The former governor said he earlier picked Ohio State – which lost to Kentucky in the Sweet 16 -- to win the NCAA Tournament. He joked that his predictions were "poison."

"So I'm going to pick Kentucky because I'd rather any of the three other teams to actually win the tournament," Paterson said.

He also voiced the opinion that it was harder to talk sports than politics.

"People disagree a little more respectfully [in politics], but in sports, you can say something like 'well I don't think they really have such a good team this year' and somebody will want to take your head off," Paterson said.
