They're angry that a known strip club operator has been granted the right to open the cabaret.

"It's within feet of houses that have children in them. It's right in a residential area," says resident and protest organizer Kevin Milano. "They tell the community, 'but he promised us he wouldn't run a strip club.' You know, I always told them, and I said it right to them, I said, 'That's like issuing a murderer a gun permit on his word.'"

Milano and other residents of this Long Island community fear the club owner will turn the business into a strip joint and they're calling on the town to pull its license to operate.

"We have to stop it. Once it opens, we're doomed," says Milano.

Some residents are threatening to sell their homes if the club opens.

The town has already granted the cabaret license, one that restricts nude dancing.
