"We've never done anything to this scale in terms of baked items," says Amy Scheer, the events coordinator for Grand Central Terminal, which is hosting the sale.

More than thirty vendors will take part.

"Magnolia is making unbelievable cupcakes, Murray's Cheese will be supplying some of their savory items like cheesesteaks, Zaro's will have their black and white cookies," says Scheer.

"Gramercy Tavern will be there," says spokesperson Debbie Kellogg. "... as well some great sweet stuff from Fresco by Scotto."

The event is the brainchild of Sandra Lee, the television food personality and girlfriend of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. She'll be on hand, as will New York restaurateurs Mario Batali and Lidia Bastianich.

The bake sale is Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The event is expected to raise $50,000 to feed New York's hungry.
