Mothers Of Twins And Triplets Can Cash In On Annual Sale

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – The Mothers of Multiples Bargain Bonanza is back and mothers of twins and triplets can cash in on multiple tag sales.

Michelle Bates, co-president of the Lower Westchester chapter, says moms with twins and triplets have to spend twice as much and sometimes three times as much on things for their kids. This sales event is for them, she said.

"In the first year of the baby's life, they really don't wear anything out. So when you've got twins. You've got double of everything for some things. We also have people who have two sets of twins or people that have triplets. We have quite a few triplet moms now," Bates said.

Mothers can find items like bottle warmers, bedding, toys, clothing, maternity wear, Halloween costumes and more at the Tuckahoe Community Center.

"I think they would save more than 50 percent of the price on certain things," Bates said.

The event has become so popular that bargain hunters line up before the doors even open. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday in Tuckahoe.
