New Jersey Residents Begin Roof Repairs After Harsh Winter

It sure took its toll on Collerlo Young's million dollar New Jersey home.

"My skylight all damaged," she said. "The water come here, so the ceiling all dropped down."

She's not alone, says Stan Reczkowski of SR Roofing in Paramus.

"The phone calls were outrageous. People going completely crazy over the water," Reczkowski told WCBS 880 reporter Marla Diamond.

One home had an estimated $30,000 worth of damage.

The veteran roofer says signs of roof damage are ceiling stains and bulging paint, and repairs are not for the do-it-yourselfer. He's heard many horror stories about when people have tried.
